I looked at some pictures, none of them have purple in the leaves like this one. Is it a new species?

I tried to upload some redwood sorrel and a red mushroom (no not magic), but lost them again. I will just have to work on that gallery, anyway that’s a wild violet that grows here.

No, the twisted tree still defies gravity, and its in the area where some other trees fell. Must be the strength of the twist.
I tried to post more flower pictures, but when I hit publish some were lost. I will have to create a gallery page for flowers, I really want to take good enough pictures that an expert can identify them…like those orchids that grow here.

Is that twisted tree the one that fell down in the wind storm? I really like the flower. Have you considered collecting pics of the flowers/plants/fungi in your area?
